As a general rule, you can trust two families of recipe websites to provide healthy recipes. The first dependable family of recipe websites are those based on the Paleo diet. While the paleo diet isn't right for everyone and is a little different from what I teach it is based on sound principles and all of the foods on true paleo diet websites meet my definition of truly natural and therefore, generally, healthy. Here are my 3 favorite paleo recipe websites:
Remember, paleo isn't the right diet for everyone. Many people feel great eating foods that paleo diets exclude like brown rice, oats, chickpeas, and black beans. With that said, paleo recipe sites have great healthy recipes for meat and fish and interesting alternative recipes for things like pasta, pizza, and baked goods which are most definitely NOT part of a healthy diet when made with normal ingredients. Browse around these sites and find some recipes you'd like to try this week.
The other dependably healthy recipe sites are the authentic raw vegan sites. Raw food sites are great for learning how to make healthy smoothies, salads, and healthy desserts. Here are two great raw food recipe websites
While very few people need to eat ALL raw food (as these sites may encourage you to do!) almost everyone should eat some raw food. Raw food is vegetarian food that hasn't been cooked like salads, raw berries, raw vegetables, and smoothies. Try to eat at least 3 raw meals, snacks, or desserts each week. Start this week with 3 recipes from these sites.
